Maintenance
I have noticed not a lot of people talk about their maintenance schedules... Me being in the industry, am constantly trying to sell maintenance every day. What do you guys think? Is anyone here a fluid changing son of a bitch, or are you just a oil change gas and go kinda guy?
I do rear axle fluid changes at the beginning of every year with my oil change. Also my fuel filter every 30k. (Ive only had to do once) and this year I'm going to do my transmission service. I'm at 42k right now.

I do oil, tranny, and rear fluids/filter at the beginning of each season. I only put ~2k miles a year on the car so I only do it once a year.

Why do you need to change rearend fluid each year? I've never heard that before. I do use synthetic oil!

you don't need to...... I just like to do it to keep an eye on everything. There's really no need to do it but when you drop over $2k on a rear I like to go above and beyond to take care of it. Same way with the tranny, there's no need to change the fluid that often but running a stall with the extra heat I like to err on the side of caution. I also don't run synthetics so it's much cheaper for me to change out the fluids.

My car sits in storage from nov. to mar. When I get it out. I drive it about 100 miles and then change everything. Rear diff. oil, fuel filter, engine oil and filter, and air filter......

Im a firm beleiver that its all about the mechanic and not about the car, if a car is maintained it will run for a good while. I have a 91 Rs thats pushing 230,000 miles on the original driveline, only pulled to "freshin up". Regular fluid changes and listing for those odd noises and stoping them asap.
