I am not dissing the motor in any way.
Just saying there are several cheaper ways to make your stock LS1 make 450 RWHP.
The LS7 is a GREAT motor. But remember, you are much heavier than that Z06 Corvette. That car makes that motor seem like much more than 450 RWHP.

My mild 383 makes more rwhp and is all forged for less money. I wouldn't get too hung up on the LS7 unless you can get it with a warranty.

yea true, but ya know how much more can you get out of it. the compression is close to the max without needing 94+ and i mean to boost well you need to lower the compression and much. i imaging, headers maybe, a more extreme cam. and thats about all you can really change to get anything without changing to much about the ls7.

It is a 427 small block LSx. With a fairly small cam for the cubes.
Up the cam and get some longtubes....along with tune.
550 RWHP fairly easy.
