LS1 Throttle linkage hook-up
Hi all, I am new to this forum and hope someone can steer me in the right direction. I bought a 1935 Buick with a LS1 engine and automatic trans w/OD. It has two cables located at the throttle body. One is the acelerator cable but I don't know what the second one is, which is not connected to the throttle body. Can soneone tell me what it might be and does it need to be connected? I would have attached photos but can't see how.

What kind of trans is it? If they adapted a 700r4 or 350/400 turbo it "COULD" be a kick down cable which is for passing gear, im just guessing.

I'm not sure what transmission I have but I found in the documendation from the builder, that cable goes to the cruise controll module. Now I need to figure if I want to hook it up or not.
Thanks for the reply.

Welcome to the site!
Sounds like a cool project and wouldn't mind seeing some pics if you get a chance. My first thought was a throttle valve cable that is used on older style GM transmissions. The cable is used to relay throttle position to the transmission and affects line pressure. The cable has to be properly adjusted or you risk harm to the transmission. Only other option is probably related to the cruise control.

Agree. Incredible looking car with so much style and elegance.
Because of your site name I just have to ask... do you happen to work "behind a bench"?
