    1998 Camaro SS

    Cool ls1 to ls6

    I have a 98 camaro ss with a ls1.I put a ls6 in it,the only problem i have is the harmonic balancer (pully).The one on the ls6 is set in so i can't put the belts on.Now can i put the ls1 balancer on,or is there a balance difference in the ls1 and ls6?

    '98 Trans Am

    the ls1 and ls6 differ only in the cam, heads, and intake manifold. ur problem comes from the fact that u have a 98, which has a different pulley setup. im having trouble picturing the problem ur having with the ls6 balancer, but if its being problematic just use ur original one
