    still need it...listen the reason you need the kit is because sensors are in different locations on the ls2 vs the ls1...one of them being the knock sensors...as in the Gen IIIs they are in the valley cover. where as with the gen IVs they are in the side of the block...so the wiring will not be able to relocate without the kit. there is no getting around it. to run a gen IV in a f body you need the kit.

    Now I understand why I need it
    So for the swap it's all I need right ?
    Mounts will work. Tranny. Clutch and all that right?
    00 ss blk m6 " STOCK" strano springs, slp bilstein shocks, adj LCA, adj panhard bar, relocation brackets, 2 point SFCs welded,OEM zo6 rims black, magnaflow exhaust, CME exhaust,E/cutout, slp grille, custom front plate mount, HIDs, whistler mod, side moldings delete, slp air lid, ported and polished TB, strut tower brace, 3.73s gears, and some other parts to list!
    next to come,4.10s,ls7 clutch, ms3 or 228r cam, ported 243s, ls6 intake, ls6 oil pump. ls2 timing chain, longtube headers no cats, with a tune..

    also remember that gen IVs are a 58 tooth reluctor wheel ..where as gen IIIs are 24 tooth ...so a adapter is also need..this is part of the kit.

    yup should. some slight banging might be needed..but nothing much

    The ls1 and ls2 is the block ist the same size?

    it is used for timing purposes.. allows for valvetrain events and fueling/spark timings to be in sync. the 58 tooth by definition is more accurate and has more points of reference than the 24
