LS1 Issues ~ exhaust temps included (one side not firing)
Ok, so I knew my LS1 was having misfiring issues. I tried everything I could with my tools available to me to figure it out. I bought one of those touchless temperature gauges. Here is what I came up with.
All 4 of the driver's side exhaust tubes were in the 395-410* range......the front 3 on the passenger side were in the........200* range. I couldn't reach the far back one on the pass side. Is it fair to assume that the entire pass. side isn't even firing?
It IS blatantly misfiring, and barely has enough power to move when this starts. It runs fine for about the first 1-2 mins, then starts misfiring....IDEAS???!!!

Make sure all the wiring for the coils is hooked up, also look for damage since it looks like you've had the heads off recently by your mods. Do you smell raw gas? Did it start misfiring right after the cam and heads were back on?

Sounds like it isn't firing on the passenger side. The exhaust temp should be much higher than the engine temp, which is 200. If 200 is your reading on header, then that is the same as the motor at operating temperature. The coil pack rack might not be hooked up right, or is not producing spark for some reason. Swap that bad boy out with a good one from a running LS1. It should only take about fifteen minutes.

The car ran fine for about 3000 miles after the internal work. Got several 12.0 runs out of her, didn't wanna break into the 11's due to roll cage requirements. Sometimes, I thought this was due to moisture, as it would only occur after rain. However, now it is constant. I have a buddy coming to scan it this weekend, will post more info then.
Thanks for your inputs
