LS1 - EGR Tube Mod ?

Hi I was looking through a GM Hightech mag ( July 06 ) and saw the 5 free mods and saw the EGR mod , My questions are

#1 Has anyone done this & is it worth doing ?
#2 Is there any side effects with the EGR system after ?
#3 How far do you cut the tube ? ( If anyone has more pics )

I have a 99 FIREHAWK with the LS1 intake so I was thinking of doing it .

good mod, no side eff's, cut it at the neck down spot.

no side effecyts its been done on my car, its much more effective if you do it with all the other Free mods

Unless you really need the EGR id just get rid of the whole thing. Can't wait to put my Ls6 intake on and get rid of that ugly tube.

I took it all off and the air pump a buddy of mine made the block offs and I just had to buy the plug for the intake you well have to get it turned off so no light comes on it does looks cleaner
