LS1 in a 79 Nova?
Like the title says, what can anyone tell me about LS1 swaps? I'm researching info as I post this article, so hopefully I find out how much work it will be. I don't mind customization or doing serious work (put a 94 2jz in my 89 supra), so if anyone has any ideas or information on what it would take to make the motor fit, tranny fit, which tranny, etc, etc... Just let me know. And no, the search function didn't help very much.

Summit racing catalog has lots of swap parts like harnesses and black boxes to make the swap easier. I'd look for a wrecked F-body with a drivetrain in it to use for a donor personally. as for tranny I've seen 350s, 400s, 700r4s and even powerglides behind an LS motor, you can make anything work very well with some plates and fab work
