ls1 4l60e help??? Help Me plz....
I just had my 4l60e built 3 years ago. I need help finding a 4l60e that would fit a 2000 z28. I blew out 3rd and 4th gear and i need a fast patch job to get me from Colorado to Utah since i'm moving in two weeks. So I've looked all over and can't find anything but a 98 to 03 Tahoe 2 wheel drive that would work? Is there any other 4l60e's that i could use from another car or truck? I'm just needing to go cheap so i'm looking at junk yard transmission or a super cheap rebuild kit under 150 bucks. But i would rather go junk yard i only need to get to Utah then i'm doing a t56 swap out there.
Thanks to who ever can help me.....

Have you tried eBay or Craigslist? I think that would be your best bet for a junkyard trans if you aren't near a junkyard.

I have my stock transmission stashed in the lower garage -- but you are a bit far away. I'm guessing that the truck transmissions have different output shafts and tail stock lengths than an F-body, but I am not sure on that.

The 4l60e has to be 98 up and has to be 2wd to work. I've tried CL and ebay and no luck at the junk yards.

The 1999 - 2006+ GM Truck transmissions that originally had the 5.3L, 4.8L 2WD 4L60E transmissions will work but there are reasonable differences,
-Truck has a Deep Pan, not usually a big deal
-Truck Has a long manual shaft that is used for a MLPS on the side of the case which the F body 60E will have a short manual shaft. (so you will have to figure that out may work as a temp but not recommended, shafts can be changed if you know what your doing, which would then work fine
NOTE: F Body 4L60E Tail Housing is obviously different because of the torque arm mount so the tail will have to be switched. Any F Body 60E Transmission from 1998 - 2002 will interchange as long it was from a 5.7L LS1
