Loud head light noise
Anyone ever have the following issues? If so, what is the cause and fix?
1. When I lower my lights there is a loud grinding noise.
2. When I hit the lock or unlock the car via key less the head lights pop up and go down with the grinding noise when the go down.
The lights still work with no issues, but wondering what is going on.
Thanks

The gears in the headlight motor is bad. Change it out with a brass one instead of a plastic one that came factory.

Yup headlight gears are gone. I also took my car in to get a $40 part installed into my alarm to get my headlights from going up and down every time I engage or disengage my alarm. That way the gears aren't having so much wear and tear on them.

If you want an easier way out, there's a way to rotate the gear 180 degrees so that the unstripped part of the gear is now in use instead of the already used up bad side. Took me a half an hour to do.
