Loose rear end.
Ok guys. I need some help or advice here.
I have a 00 ss m6. My rear end got rebuild 3000 miles ago with 3.73s. Other than that the car is all stock.
I always felt like something was wrong with the rear end.
I got out of work right now. N I felt something different. I step on the gas n I felt like the whole diff was lose. I got out of the car I checked everything. I couldn't find anything visible.
Nothing on the axles tires or anything lose.
I got on the car again. N I feel the same.
I step on the gas n I feel vibrations and something lose. Any ideas ?
Broken control arm? Shocks?
I didn't hit a curb or anything like that..
Thanks.

foud the problem.. never tought that could be the problm..
the muffler was hitting the rear end.. that was tge reason why i felt something lose or hitting when i take off...
when iwas goin to the shop, i made a u turn and i heard something something under the car very loud and then after that the exhaust noise changed.
i pulled over to check. i noticed the muffler hanging down,,
the exhaust pipe got cut from the area close to the axle....
the whole exhaust setup is to old.. i have to get new muffler

Yikes!!! But all-in-all, at least your problem was minor. A new cat-back system and you're good to go.

Goat's right- you can get that fixed easily and even look at it as a great time to upgrade!

I was plannig to do that some time next year.
But now it's the time to do it.
I was thinking bout getting the LTs and new magnaflow cat bk.
But for Now I'm just gonna take the old flowmaster off snd drive it like that for a couple of weeks

If there's enough pipe, try to get a band clamp (3" ID to 3" ID clamp) and hold it together. It might have a little sputter leak to it, but it'll hold you together until you can either get the muffler welded in or until you plan your upgrade. Clamp should cost around $10 or so from Summit.
