looking for a new car
I recently got my Jeep stolen and after being mad for a while I realized it wasn't so bad after all since I'm going to be using the insurance money to get a Firebird. I've been looking around and found a 1998 WS6 with 100k miles on it for 11g. It appears to be in excellent condition and has a clean carfax. I'm wondering if this seems to be a good buy? Mainly looking at how many miles are on the car.

A clean carfax doesn't mean it was never in a wreck..just that it wasn't totaled and a salvage title, so still be careful. I'd keep looking if I were you...or talk him down, 11k for a 98 with 100k mi can be considered high...I wouldn't buy it for any more than 9.5 max if it's a private owner.

I bought a 1998 Z28 with 90k on it early this year. It has pretty much every option and I paid $8500. The only thing wrong was it needed two new tires, so i talked him down to $8200. Never wrecked. Only problem I have had so far is with windows (see my other thread in this category)
I would say a max of $95xx fully loaded and in near perfect condition

Yeaaa that's esteban...he frickin rocks I actually bought his infomercial guitar deal...he teaches you to play the guitar, the dudes so awesome. For $200 you get a decent guitar..case...little amp...2 instructional books and dvds...couple dvds of his concerts...all kinds of little things to go with the guitar...poster of all the cords and notes to practice. The cool thing is that it's actually Esteban that is showing you everything...it's not just his name on the shit. He teaches you both ways...pick and with your hand. I'm actually getting pretty damn good, takes a lot of practice though....and hurts like a bitch for the first couple weeks from holding cords, have to build up calluses. When I get good i'm gonna get a better electric guitar...and the one it comes with is actually pretty nice. I bought a digital tuner also...best damn $25 bucks I spent

I paid $6500 for a 1998 WS6 with 117000 miles on it fully loaded ran mint and the guy had every record ever for the car, new clutch 20k ago, new headlight motors, and all that good stuff.
If I were you I wouldnt pay more than 8k for that car, but thats just me.

damn 6500 is really cheap for such a great looking car. 117000 is alot of miles though, hows she running for you? I'm still looking at this car. It's at a dealership and he has all the records for it, just had a new clutch and transmission installed 6 months ago. Its a really clean car. Going to try talking him down some, but I'm starting to get real anxious!! I just want my fbody that I've been dreaming about since I knew what a car was.

Ya the guy originally wanted 10k for mine, but he was rich off his ass and really didint need the money so that helped a lot. But it is in great condition, needs to be detailed come spring time, and a little bit of rust on the underbody from being driven throught the winters, but ill take care of that myself so no biggie.
How much u pay for urs as i noticed you got it already(not including the 2 tickets lol)?
Good pick and nice car and best of luck with it
