I thought I saw this tested on another forum before. It wasn't for LS1 motors but for offroad vehicles (think it was Pirate4x4). There where gains but nowhere near the 10-20% or whatever. More like a couple horsepower. Not worth the effort was the general concensus. Just get an old heater blower motor and hook it up with duct hose and tape and give it a whirl (pun intended).
I got a kick out of the kit listed for the Porsche 911! Bet they sell alot of those -NOT..

Edit-went and found one such discussion if anyone's interested-here's a linky.

    http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showt...+blower+motors

There is some performance numbers for a $2000 setup if you scroll down a little ways.
Some guys have tried leaf blower set-ups. Seems kind of pointless but......

i didnt post this because i wanted to put it on my car, i just thought it was funny and wanted to share it. i might put it on my wives car just for laughs but i would never put it on mine. i appreciate all the info though. that is why i love this forum everyone is always looking out for one another not like the other forums where people just want to brag how their ride is better than everybody else's.

Folks, when you see things like this the first question to ask is:

"If it does work why didn't the manufacturer offer it?"
For the same reason they dont make free flowing exhaust...COST.

Because then everyone would buy one and then all the other supercharger companies would llose all of thier money. DUH!

I'm sure this thing adds a least 100hp.

I wouldn't use this thing on my T/A if someone gave it to me....I have well over 400RWHP and it would probably implode from the sucksion but even if it was a stock T/A it would be totally useless trust me...

Awhile there were these "ramchargers" out (do a search on yahoo they might still be around) but ther were "chaiming" that the electric impeller produced 2lbs of boost with how fast it spun and all this other BS...

But someone on a forum awhile back for my truck said he tried it on his 350 Monte and it destroyed the thing and this ramcharger was around $300 or so....

Bottom line there all worthless to us...Dont get sucked in...or dont let it get suck in to our engine lol

Tell you another one and I actually tested this out in practice years ago.

Peltier coolers to lower the intake air temp. They work great to cool fuel but forget about it for the air.

Electric Superchargers don't do shit. They are one of the biggest gimmicks on eBay.

At WOT an LS1 is pulling a ton of vacuum. Much, much more vacuum than that electric supercharger could ever overcome with "boost"

Give it a break. Add about 400 lbs of batterys, a huge 2000W inverter and a couple of shop vac motors and it will work but not well.

    Impractical - yes.

    lol
it's not a leaf blower when it's hooked up to the intake. It becomes a supercharger! Get it right.
