Locks and interior lights and rap out

My power locks do not work neither switch works I assumed vats but the windows work fine ...my interior lights will not turn on at any point (when the door opens or when I press the button on the rear view mirror ) my security light has been on for months but it never caused any problems so I ignored it...and when I'm in gear (a4) I hear the rear hatch click like the button is bein pressed whenever I release the brake ...I tried searching but nobody that I saw had all of these problems ...I checked the ground near a pillar on the driver side ??? I think I'm goin to bypass the vats in a hour or so after I look under the steering column any advice will be greatly appreciated thanks

check for BCM threads.

It is a Body control module that controls the radio, windows, locks, hatch and some other crap.

Thanks man I did it before .....I jus pulled it out and it smells burnt an shows burn marks does this mean I need a new one ....I really miss my power locks lol

yeah.....i sounds like it's toast. They ain't cheap.

gmpartsdirect sells 'em ($155) but you will still need it programed to your vin #. I'm not sure if they could program it prior to shipping. You could email them for an answer.

Local dealer said programming cost $95

That still beats the $350 they quoted me for them to get it. (Also it is a dealer control item still)

I can get it programmer and shipped to me for a about 180 from the dealer but I wanted to get springs this week lol thanks for your help man

Do you kno weather or not I can get one from s junkyard out of a t/a programmed to work with my keys and fob it'll be free for the bcm

yes you can but you need to look for one that has the same features as yours...

pwr windows/locks, etc...

also think about this....you could be right back where you are in a few months with a used one
