    Question Locating VATS Resistance

Ok, I need a new key for my car, but rather than dealing w/ the "stealership" I'd rather just ask you guys. How can I find out what my VATS resistance number on my key is? Maybe on my VIN somewhere?

    I believe I can't. I'm OHM ignorant.

You should be able to give gm the vin and a jar of vasoline and take it up the ass for a key, when you get one from gm they are gonna want proof of ownership, copy of the title, copy of your drivers license (or personal photo id) the length of your d*ck also... there isnt really any way to buypass vats, If your lucky and dont get a FukTard on the phone he might give you the chip Number. Theres only 12-14 different chips so...

Do you have a multimeter? If so just put it on the ohm setting Ω and touch one lead to one side of the pellet and the other lead to the other side and record the ohms. A multimeter can be had at autozone for ~$20.

Just check around at your local hardware stores. Some of them cut Vats keys. I just had mine done and it was $19.95

agreed-my local hardware store makes these keys also for around $20. VATS is a good system as long as it is operating properly-just get a new key.
