line lock

umm i need some help i was installing my b&M shifter in my t/a and some how i disconected my line lock how do i get it back working . it came with the line lock when i bought her, on the switch to engage the line lock it has two lines and one has a washer at the end of it i dont know were it goes. the line lock switch is located were the traction control is at . ive gone and fuck up

looks like a ground. If so, any metal surface making good contact with the chasis should work.

Like said above, its a ground, Just Try and find where it was grounded and put it back otherwise just Make sure its bolted or screwed into a piece of steel nearby

like where my cigarette lighter is or any metal part

any metal part that is connected solidly to the car. your cigerette light should be a ground because that is how it operates but i would find something else. maybe one of the bolts that hold down the shifter. it needs to be good and solid

does any one use line locks on A4's. seems a lil safer for a burn out
