Blue 1997 Trans Am(Sold)- Pewter 2001 Trans Am Vert
Lid! I need a Lid!
I've been planning on getting the easiest mod for a long time and still haven't. I keep going back to SLP but just as I'm about to order one I hear something else about them being shitty. I don't want whisper because of cracking and that was my second choice.
I need a lot of numbers to convince me... everyone with a lid tell me what brand you have and what your complaints and compliments are. price isn't a factor, quality is.

sounds good guys keep them coming... also you guys with the camaro's I've put together that camaro's are more likely to have rubbing issues with lids then WS6 hoods... you guys didn't even have the trade mark rub marks?

I put the SLP lid on and it fit great. I believe they changed thier mold over the past year or so and improved the fit.
I had a 2000 SS with the SLP lid and had the trademark rub mark. No problem with the current Z however.

Iv used the slp lid on 3 of my camaro's with no issues. I had some rubbing on one of them but i adjusted the clamps and the bellow and it went away.
A lid is a lid, they flow just about the same and is a simple mod.
J2001 SS, Its not the car its the Driver that matters....

I've had an SLP lid installed for almost six months now, without a single problem. The fit is great, as long as the front lip of the lid tucks inside the front lip of the bottom airbox.
