Aaahhh...I thought so. Maybe its torque converter clutch shudder/chuggle. lightly pressing the brake pedal will disengage the TCC, then you can blip the throttle check for the problem.

If I alternate tapping the brake and then blipping the throttle it does it 80% of the time. Theres a clack noise too.

When I start up the car it runs real rough thens smooths out after 60 sec and if I drive it runs like a top, no problems. But once its hot whenever I give the pedal a little blip the car bogs and it detonates. Amechanic drove it and verified its detonation. I changed plugs 2 days ago to Denso iridums gapped at 55 (the old plugs looked OK) I changed the fuel pump/filter, plug wires, run 91 from Cheveron, have a Vinci handheld tune w/stock tune programming. (used for gear ratio adj, tire size) Iive had this problem since I had it. Car just threw 0300 misfire code again too today. Ill checkthe pvc line again and let ya know..
PCV is not EGR. EGR is the big round thing in front of the oil filler cap that has the black covered pipe going to the intake just behind the TB.

right, 01's don't have an EGR valve. That pcv hose usually cracks where it makes the bend towards the intake which is after the foam. It doesn't really sound like that's your problem although it wouldn't hurt to look at it.
Now comes the series of questions because I'm to lazy to read all 4 pages.

Do you have any means of logging the car? That would help you out quite a bit.
Have you cleaned the MAF and do you run an oil based air filter?
How does the car run WOT?
What you're describing sounds like in open loop it's running rough and then levels out when it goes to closed loop. It also sounds like an issue during throttle transistions. I would clean your MAF if you haven't already and start there.
At the end of the day a nice log would be great to have so you can see what's going on.

I had a dyno tune but thought the problem was resolved so didnt think to get a log or sheet. I cleaned the MAF w/ the cleaner and I replaced the tubing for the pvc so its all good there. It seems to run BITCHEN at WOT... but if Im used to a car running on 7 what would I know? hah

Well I went and had pacesetter headers and a catted ypipe from tsp inspalled yesterday and the crank position sensor replaced as well as re-tuned. I ended up with 359 rwhp 345 rwt on a mustang dyno. Drive home was like a new car, runs great, no hesitation at tip in or any other problems. So the problem was either the air system we removed and tuned out or the flow of the exhaust being too restrictive. Whatever it was Im glad its gone.
