    leak around rear wheel

Hello all, I have a moser 12 bolt that was installed about 6 months ago or so and now have a leak around my drivers side rear wheel. There is thick black grease on the inside of my wheel and a little on the outside. What exactly is leaking and how much will it cost to fix? thanks

Possibly an axle seal gone bad. The rear axle will have to be pulled and the seal will have to be replaced. You might nees new e-brake shoes as well, they might be contaminated with gear oil. Don't know the price though.

Axle seal took a dump IMO.Gotta pop out the axle and pull everything out and replace it. You could probably just hose the piss out of the shoes and inside rotor.

Price should be cheap, labor is a bit rough.

I did it on my old T/A wasnt to hard once we figured out how to do it! Didnt cost to much either, and ya a rear axle barring/seal sounds like the problem. Just get the parts from AUTO ZONE or Pep boys or something to get the barring/seal out, its free.
