I learned many years ago to ignore the label. Ignore the marketing and focus on the product. One constant in the auto parts business....change. They all do it.

this is great information. I've always used the K&N in my car and the mobil one in my truck. I've tried to stay away for fram, but it seems here that there is a big swing in there products.

For the Mobil 1 is there a specific model # or part # for a 2000 TA? it says M1-302 on the chart is that what I would ask for at an auto parts store to fit my ride? Sarge I read last page for a LS1 the Fram # is XG3506 is that correct?

FYI, NAPA has a new Platinum series filter that has the synthetic media inside according to their website. This may be another option for a top-rated filter.

I believe around $12 each. A bit more than Fram but maybe less than K/N or M1.

I know it's not exactly related to the oil filter comparison at the top of this thread, but I think the data and analysis in this Toyota Tacoma/Toyota Tundra oil filter comparison might be interesting to all car/truck owners anyways. There are lots of photos, some hard data, and some interesting info on general oil filter design.

I realize it was created by a Toyota dealer, but it seems like they tried to be unbiased.

    Anyways, I liked it.

Good links. Its sad to see AcDelco sink to the bottom of the barrel in another test.

Nice info -- I agree on the AC Delco, especially as I have had one or two on the Trans Am since we have owned it.
