I have a question for you Sarge. I'm running a Lingenfelter Oil Pump with my H/C build and my oil pressure is 80 psi cold (Pegged) and approx 70 psi warm and hits 80 psi under WOT. Is that bad I have over 1000 miles with no gasket problems but wondering if thats a bit too much pressure

I also run a Lingenfelter pump through double oil filters a remote thermostat and a big ass oil cooler. About 8-10ft of hose. I see about 60-70lbs of oil pressure on my mechanical gauge. These gauges arent exactly accurate you know. Your good.

I bought the Lingenfelter because of you

Screw that crap LS6 ported pump

ON to the next question. I'm getting oil sucked up (Burning) after I go WOT. So after I nail it and let off, I get a puff (High Vaccum) I checked the PCV system for cracks and its good. Changed the PCV valve and have a catch can. I checked the back of the TB blade and it had oil on it

Should I put a breather in my valve cover, do the LS6 valley mod, add another catch can to the passenger side valve cover hose that runs to the TB

THanks Sarge I owe you a beer if you make your way to WI

I'll try the breather first, this only started after the H/C so I thought that may be the problem but wasn't 100% sure. I'll buy a breather tomorrow from one of our sponsors

Back in 99 I worked at a GM dealer they had an issue with engine noise with the AC Delco filter, their fix was to install a fram filter.
For whatever reason it stopped the engine noise. I was never told why the noise occured and why the fram filter stopped the noise I was just told to put them on the trucks.

I never understood the fram bashing,I been using them for years without a problem....well filter related anyway.

On the testing there was quite a few I seen missing

Not everyday you become a Billionaire without finishing HS. I've met his wife Diane and his daughter Konya Schuh (Married to buds cousin) They seem really nice. He had some amazing toys.

World is really small isn't it Sarge

ABC Supply in Beloit is about 24 minutes from me. I should PM my number and when you come up this way, I'll buy you that beer

just curious as to what kind of engine noise, my car sounds like it has piston slap really bad and it wasn't that bad until i put the delco filter on it

I may be wrong but last time I checked, Ken had about 400 or so small companies world wide

I hope all is going well for Diane, glad to see she is running it well. Alot of the workers that worked for Ken said he was the best boss you could ever have

As far as I know it was just the trucks and a valve/lifter noise. Don't know what happend after 2000 though, it may have full well went to the cars too. But by this post you can see your best bet would be to get away from Delco.

i appreciate it! But is the infamous piston slap that i've heard about common in all ls based engines?
