Knock Sensors
Just a quick question on knock sensors. Should I go with the gm PN#12589867 or are the knock sensors at the local parts store just as good? Going to be doing the ls6 valley cover swap. I would rather wait till i took it apart to see how bad the sensors are to reuse them vs paying $100 plus just for them from gmpartsdirect.

I would use GM only, got mine off ebay for ~ $75 (for both) delivered. New GM harness too.

I paid about $75 for mine from gmpartsdirect for mine. I recommend to go ahead and do them.

Yeah add the $20 handling fee. I guess I'll still have to buy new ones anyway because I'm sure mine are rusted like everyone else.

yes is pretty common for the front one to be rusted. Make sure you build a RTV dam before you put the intake back. Don't be like me that was going to do it and remembered as soon as I finished putting back the intake... how many miles in those knock sensors?
