Are you kidding? If time is no longer an ally, then damage to the engine couldve been caused by anything over a long stretch of time.

Youre right, YOU cant. I guess buying filters from time to time doesnt exist to you.

    Makes no sense to me.
It's an opinion on my part.
Now thats dramatic in a sense thats phenominal. We use premium cuz the engine may ping without it. Not to mention, its recommended (possibly even required) according to the manual. Ive never looked down on FRAM oil filters, others may have, but I dont. In fact, I use FRAM filters for the same reason you use paper. Well, not the same exact reason, but I buy them and replace them at every oil change cuz its just an expense one with a car has to live with. With a washable air filter, I have one less worry on my mind.

Funny you say that, cuz its started. People have such hard ons for their means of saving money.

But I am not so much in disagreement. Not playing devil's advocate, but I hate the FTRA system due to the fact that MY engine got hydrolocked from a puddle. My engine is unique statistically as others have ran the FTRA threw oceans (I did too before this one time) and were fine. I am still against the FTRA but for other reasons.

A washable air filter has a different argument entirely. Despite being a moth to the flame, I love debating on it.

    And I dont even own a K&N!

I've posted this hundreds of times already, but here goes...
In MY personal experience the K&N makes the SAME (+1/-1 rwhp) power on the dyno, but allowed debris through (found grit up to the MAF), so I'll stick with Frams. Interestingly enough, running NO filter was worth 0-2rwhp on the dyno...

Sarge, Ive seen you point that shit out a lot before. Got any links or some plain info would be good! They cotton? Reusable? Dyno charts? That sort of thing.

OK I read the test results and maybe I'm reading them wrong. It appears that the K+N outflowed and trapped more dust than the other 2 in the test. It won the competion so to speak. I thought you were trying to say the K+N was junk. What did I miss?

The AEM dryflows are nice. They are actually made by Fram. Do they have one to fit the LS1? If so i would have gotten one instead of the K&N.

Not really...they are made by the same manufacturing company that makes Fram.....two different specs.
