Interior lights wont turn off!!

2001 WS6, 50k miles

My car sits forever and the battery died. While jumping it and barely having it run the lights on dash went nuts. Battery ended up dead and I replaced it. Now the interior lights wont turn off. I checked every fuse I have, I took apart the interior light switch (roller) and cleaned it, I also unplugged it and the lights still remained on. I have to disconnect the battery every night now so it wont drain. Any help please!

Is anything else besides the interior lights an issue...? Windows work correctly? Lights on the dash? Radio? Etc?

Everything else seems to be working great, There was an ABS blown fuse and I replaced that.

That rules out the bcm in my opinion...starting to sound like a door position sensor is acting up or has gone out.

Our cars have them just cant remember the name or part number off the top of my head. Somebody with a manual might be able to provide those. I'll see what I can dig up.

Sounds like an issue with a door switch or hatch switch. Our cars do really weird things when battery voltage gets low - the lights on the dash going nuts doesn't surprise me.

I know we called them courtesy lamp switches when I was a Toyota. Could be a dome lamp switch.

I was thinking door or hatch switch or a grounded wire as well. My car had an issue where the exterior lights would stay on, but the interior light wouldn't work. Cleaned the driver door switch with electronic cleaner and all is well. Keep us updated OP.
