Installing slp long tube headers 2002 z28 Help!!

I just got a set of slp long tube headers and have questions.


1. on the passenger side header.. how close is the wire bundle that you are instructed to tie strap the red fiberglass tube over supposed to be to the header?
mine is almost touching could that be a problem even with the fiberglas tube supplied in the install kit on it.

I sure dont want to melt the starter wire and short out ..would be a mess


2. I have a 2002 z28 ... the slp headers has egr port on both sides but the factory tube will not mount anybody have this problem?

The 02 LS1 (I have one)doesn't have an EGR-do you mean the air tube?
