installing a cam
i have heard some talk about if i put a mild cam in the 99 trans am m6 with mac mid lengths off road y and flowmaster cat back it will keep dying on me any one know if this is true if i get it tuned

And if you sit too close to the TV you'll go blind....friend...if that was true the side of the road would be littered with FBody's.....hell no it aint true. Whoever told you that needs kicked in the balls.....
What happens is folks mod their cars without getting it properly tuned....then the MAF is searching and the damn thing wont idle and all kinds of shit goes on. You bolt on a mod or two...slide a lil cam in there...dont get it tuned....hell yes the engine doesnt know what in the hell is going on....it will learn and adjust alot of the parameters....but you always need to get a tune after mods such as cams/headers etc. Most reputable tuners dont charge ( or charge very little) to adjust their tunes after you mod your car. Kick whoever told you that in the gonads and call it a day. Now get out there and mod!
