if i get heads/cam upgrade and long tube headers with off road catted y pipe and a dyno tun, is there a way i can pass inpection if i choose the right set up???

Yes, they're putting you on the sniffer in N.C. now?? I got a few buds from NC and they said it was just visual, but they where talking about sniffing the exhaust.. They come through with that?? If you're just changing exhaust but keeping some kind of cat, there shouldn't be a problem.

LS1what has it right, with cats it won't matter and you'll still pass most any test. If they don't check exhaust emmissions it won't matter anyways. IF they do sniff it and you have a big enough cam you might have to have it tuned for the cam before your emmissions will pass, but you said tuned anyways so you have no worries

actually thats not entirely true. it depends on how much of a dick the inspection place wants to be since it is illegal to alter your emissions system including moving your cats stock position. although most places are pretty good about seeing that you made an effort to be legal. good luck.

That is true... I totally forgot LT's require you to alter cat location. As you said though, if they ain't dicks he shouldn't have any problems..
