    Inline Fuel Pump

    I have a 98 LS1 and I was able to get an Inline Fuel Pump made by MSD if i install this on my daily driver car will this affect the Intank Fuel pump cuz i dont want to mess that one up i know its expencive i need help i want to know if i should install it or not thanks

    First off I would look at the case of "Do you really need it"? How much HP are you pushing? 10 to 1 your stock in tank pump is fine. If you are concerned, first put a fuel pressure tester on the fuel rail and see what it is producing in PSI. Normally a stock 98 should be at roughly 58 PSI. Unless you are seeing the PSI dropping I would not mess with it.

    Why do you want to install it? Is your current fuel pump shot? Are you running a big shot of nitrous? If installed correctly, there will be no adverse effects on your regular pump. I have an inline and it is noisy, but effective for my power level...
