I am just assuming he is running a flat tappet and not hydrualic rollers as that is what most folks use the high dose of ZDDP for. ZDDP is a chemical compound(s) and not brand specific. Let me lookup that specific oil add and see what they publish anyway.......

Shot of moly....so he is getting a butt dyno return on his investment like ZMax.....if it makes him feel better OK...he isnt helping nor hurting anything.
Todays race oil specifics are tightly blended to return maximum friction modifiers and HTHS positives....when you add shit like that to the oil it throws the add pack make-up out of whack.....
People use Lucas and shit like this all the time.....waste of money....but they will tell you it works....but cannot show you a UOA of any benefit at all....the placebo effect.

Yes, good to see you posting Sarge. The real oil wisdom factor goes way up when you're around (as opposed to the internet 'expert' wisdom that floats around sometimes).

Little secret just between us and nobody else.
This Quaker State Ultimate Durability SN API stuff is looking good so far.
Took my pals 05 GTO and was running some trending UOA's. Used QSUD for grins cuz he got it at WalMart. I told him to get anything he wanted as we need comparison to qualify the numbers of the previous oil. Ran it 5000 miles and holy shit. The wear numbers dropped like a rock.
Previously he had run three straight runs of Mobil1 0-30.
Lead went from 14 to 8.

Cool! How did the other wear metals look? Copper, Lead, Iron, Chromium...

I'd be interested to see the trending in full.

We should have our 2nd UOA here right after the first. I put more emphasis on the 2nd UOA than I do the first

Looking forward to it Sarge and good to see you back.

Quaker State is a rock solid SOPUS product. You know I'm not too proud to admit that I took advantage of Auto Zone's current deal: Quaker State Conventional: $13.99 5+ Oil Change Jug or 5 Single Qts and an STP Oil Filter.

Surprisingly, it's the new SN/GF-5 Resource Conserving oil on sale.

Cheap quality conventional works out because I'm currently in the process of doing an Auto RX application in the wife's car before Amsoil OE goes in.

Plus I needed five small mouth quart containers for my new Everydrop™ Oil Recovery System

The wide mouth synthetic oil quart bottles don't fit

    CompSyn

Or buy a $0.99 cent funnel

I do like this system though as it easily hangs from peg board in the shop. I slow drain six quart containers overnight at the same time. For me this cuts down oil change time as before I'd let every quart sit upside down in the valve cover fill hole for minutes on end to get out the last drop of oil. Not the case anymore.

It's kind of funny. Earlier today my next door neighbor was changing the oil in his 6.0L Chevy truck. I told him about my new oil recovery system and that I'd do his six quarts for him to see how much oil he throws out. Well after an hour I had recovered about six ounces of motor oil that would have otherwise been thrown out. He uses Amsoil too, so not cheap oil to waste. I figure that six ounces of Amsoil has a value of about $1.69 given sales tax and shipping. So at least for my neighbor, he'd pay for this in about 13 oil changes.

There's no bounds when you're an oil geek

LOL....yeah...I do like the ability to drain 6 quarts....Go slap Tim Vipond...that guy is an idiot of biblical proportions. Amsoil corporate should put a muzzle on his dumbass. He destroys Amsoils well deserved reputation with his constant trolling of numerous forums.

Amsoil salesman out of Houston. Knows dick about tribology. So he gets himself a Amsoil sales kit and his "strategy" is to join every car/RV/Motorcycle forum on the internet and spam the shit out of everybody with Amsoil commercials. He has been banned by most forums. So he and I get into it over TCW3. Total dumbshit.
He is far and away the most hated Amsoil guy in the history of Amsoil.
