What are the lines connected to? Looks like an aftermarket trans cooler to me.

i was coming up on this turn and this car going twice my speed goes past me cuts me off and slam on his brakes b/c he didn't see the turn and i had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting him also had to go around the turn at the same time. when i did i guess the brakes locked up and i started sliding around the turn, lost control hit the curb on the left side, went over a 25 foot hill and when i hit slid down spun around 3 times and came to a stop......Axle looks bent also and i will post pics of the car if anyone wants to see them

ok to clear some things up. The leak is from something else (where its leaking looks like a tube is suppose to be there) and the color of the fluid was red that came out the 1st part pictured.
I must of lost my ac cooler somewhere when i went off the hill so looks like i got to buy one of those and a new tranny cooler

Red fluid = transmission fluid (oily) or possibly Dexcool
Tranny fluid won't mix with water, Dexcool will so that's a way to identify it.

ok car was towed to the shop today. that part is a transmission cooler but there is a list of things wrong with the car.
front and rear axles bent
3 rims are bent
rotors may be warped
body is off balance and fenders may never be straight again(still being looked at)
Radiator is busted.
Still havent got a quote yet but i can already tell its gonna be expensive so left now is just deciding if i want to keep the car or get rid of it, i want to keep it but if the body is off balance i'm not so sure.

sorry to hear!!
if the frame is bent u may have problems down the line even if they try to straighten it. the rims are nothing, axles easily replaceable... a good body shop would be able to take care of the fenders *trust me ive seen MIRACLES done at a good body shop* if it doesnt cost u to much try to save her

FWIW, Check to see that someone didn't put that cooler on to replace the factory "in-radiator-hose" power steering cooler.

unfortunately i didn't go through insurance b/c a police report wasn't filed, my parents didn't want to see my insurance sky rocket, and b/c it would take months to get the car fixed.......step dad is paying for all of it though.

This is a Camaro right? There are no front axles. The rotor issue sounds a little bogus to me as well. What shop did you take it too? Double check on that axle thing if they told you that do not let them touch anything on it because they are full of $h1t. I'm local too ya so I might be able to help with a reputable shop if they are telling you a bunch of garbage.
