I need help
I have a 01 SS and the service vehicle light stays on. This is not the service engine soon light and I have been told it will take a combination of pumping the brake, gas pedles and turning the car on and off to turn the light off. All the dealerships services are closed for the weekend out here so they are no help. Does anyone know what needs to be done to turn this light off? Please help if you can. Thanks.

Turn the Ignition to run but dont start.
Push the gas pedal to the floor three times. Dont slam it to the floor but slowly.
Turn the key off
Turn it back on and this time start the vehicle and you should be good to go.
J2001 SS, Its not the car its the Driver that matters....

Service vehicle light is different from the change oil light. If it's the service vehicle light it's a non emissions related problem, could be something as simple as a burned out bulb.
