    Thumbs down I Need Help

    my trans am is having a fuel problem , when it gets up to 3200 rpm it starts chugging like its dieing on fuel and it can hardly go .NEED HELP BAD

    Hi, How old is your fuel filter ? Might be that or a bad tank of gas...Have a fuel presure guage hooked up or access to one ? Bill

    i have a new fuel filter , i always use 93 octane

    Know anyone that does refrigeration or freon work, those manifold guages will hook up to your fuel rail. Stock is around 58 lb roughly...

    ok, if the presure is off then its most likely the regulator?

    Or the fuel pump, which would suck because it's in the tank... At least it would tell you if it's the fuel or not !!!

    someone told me if your fill your tank to much you can cause problems with your purge valve?

    I have'nt heard that one. I over fill my tanks often, trying to round up to the next dollar !!!
    Is the check engine light on ?

    Try putting the stock MAF sensor back in and see if you have the problem

    i have a stock maf and have had a full tune up ,, code P4200 comes up

    Thats a cat code. Below threshold. Your cats are probably clogged and shot.....replace your catalytic converters or replace them with straight pipes. I did the broom handle mod on mine
    Delete the cat codes with a tuner....

    I thought you said in your introduction post that you had an aftermarket MAF so thats why i suggested that you put the stock one back in.

    i put the stock back in but it didnt help, but the code its showing is p1420 not p4200
