    i have extreme power loss

i lately fixed my air conditioning because i had a vacuum problem and for some reason when i slam on the throttle it accelerates to about 2000 rpms and then just loses all power i didn't know if i have some kind of vacuum problem with the intake, my friend had a similar problem with his exahaust being clogged, but i don't know in the morning im checking the fuel filter to make sure its not clogged but i was wondering if anyone had a diagnosis

The car is not displaying a code???
If it was the cat, I would assume a code would come through...

not always. if its a partial blockage it usually wont store it. we created that problem at tech school, and it didnt store any codes.

To do a quick check pull out an upstream o2 sensor before the cat and then drive. if power loss goes away you have a restriction probably a converter. also try tapping the mass air flow sensor if you tap and engine surges you have a problem.
