It's completely stock as far as I know. I mean even if they where different heders it would not change the EGR location. I think it could be a 2000 thing.

What do you mean get to the bottom? You just take off the two bolts holding the hose to the manifold and bolt down a block off plate.

I know the top bolt is easy to get at but iwas just wondering how people got teh other becasue you can't really get a wrench down there and its a tight fit from the bottom.

Gonna hijack a lil bit here, I have an 01' and I have this black hose coming from the right side from the front then going towards the engine then it stops, on the end is a lil' round K&N filter, about 2 inches in diameter.

    Anyone know what that is???

No it's just sitting in like mid-air, the hose ends, it comes from all the way to the right and up from the bottom, if ur facing the car, then starts to turn towards the engine then stops and there's like this mini K&N air filter on it, some guy once said it was a PVC delete, I don't know.
He was some dude I met at auto zone and he was three sheets to the wind...lol

    I'll try and get pics.

I bet you don't have the stock air lid.. if thats the case.. its a filter for the AIR system. I had the same thing till I decided to yank my air pump and lines and get it tuned out. Nothing to worry about.

Ahhhh ok, yea I have an MTI lid, does this mean the pump is or isn't doing anything?

Should I yank it? And if so, I need to retune it?

Love the idea of removing dead weight.

Well, its not supplying air into the intake anymore, pretty much its there now to not throw a code... you can remove the pump, but it WILL throw a code.. and if you have emmission testing, you will fail.. so you will need to get that code tuned out of you remove the pump.

No emission testing here in Fla.

Wonder how much that air pump weighs.

Can a handheld programmer do that, or do I need a more in depth tuner, like HP? Been thinkin about getting HP, but have to get a laptop.

Woohoo!!! Slotted and drilled rear rotors just arrived!!!

Oh they are nice and shiiiiny, bye bye rusty rotors.

Deleting the air pump and all associated pipes/hoses saves about 7 or 8lbs.
