Hyper chip ?????`s

Bought a 88 camaro hull, comp has a hyperchip in it i need to get educated on them and how to tune it up,,put a 30 over 350 into the car with all the tbi stuff and it ran like crap..have changed it to carb for now and need more info on the chip and what needs to be done to make it all work right,,am kinda experienced at mechanic`in but no expert..electronic`s kinda throw me..any advise would be appreciated..Can e-=mail me at dannyb@fidnet.com...thanks for any and all help

Did it have tbi or tpi? Call up hypertech. Usually they will have you fill out a form with all engine info and then they burn you a new chip. My friend had it done once. What fuel pump are you running? What distributer do you have?

Thanks for responding.useing stock pump in tank and tbi,,car run great 1 time,shut it off and start it again it run crappy,constantly havein to adjust distributor,,,thinkin i wanna put the chip in my 90 z71 truck,,it has tbi also and stock pump in tank..how to i get ahold of hypertech the chip come in the car i bought,,,Again thanks for any help or info..i REALLY appreciate it...Dan

What is done to the engine? http://www.hypertech.com/. They should have contact numbers there. Did you use a roller camshaft in the new engine?

nope sure didnt,,I have no idea what i am doin here thats why i am asking questions,,and i sure do appreciate your help,,thanks for the link to hypertech too..really appreciate it

well if you used the stock distributer for a roller cam engine you need to change the gear on the bottom. Also when you check the timing are you pulling the advace plug off the dist? Glad to help.
