hydrolock???

i hear everyone talking about hydrolock but no one has explained what it does to your motor and why it happens. can anyone let me know?

water or any kind of liquid that gets into your cylinder won't compress so when the piston comes up something has to give. It'll either bend a rod or flat out break it and shoot it out the side of the block usually.

but with the engine being hot, wont the water evap.? how much water does it take?

Water doesnt compress at all, when its in the cylinder it cant go anywhere so at top dead center something has to give, and its the rod/piston etc.
