    88s, I think, came with the 5.0 and may have had 165 to the rear wheels. I could be wrong.

    for the 350 from those years you're looking @ ~ 165- about 200hp crank.

    for the 305 it's less, give or take 20-40hp.

    My 89 350 in my old 3/4ton 4x4 full size 8 ft. bed was ~ 175ish.

    I'm pretty sure those HP ratings stated above are when they were new. Depending how many miles and what not, I'm sure its less now. My '87 has a 350 and is really lacking in power...and gas mileage lol.

    Yup those are pretty close to original crank hp specs you'd see new or in the low/mid wear mileage..

    And don't forget to subtract ~ 15-20% or so for transmission.

    I also have an 86 Motor home 350 4-bolt SBC, TH400, low mileage, prolly has ~ 200 crank with a quadrajunk 4bbl. carb.

    It's a toad..
