5.5 quarts. Royal purple is good but overpriced. From what i have on here pennzoil platinum is the best right now. Make sure you check your oil often, because my 01 burned a lot of oil when i first got it. New PCV valve seemed to fix that though

I wouldn't go with Royal Purple myself.
Pennzoil Platinum, Amsoil, or Redline.
I use Pennzoil Platinum.
5.5 quarts as mentioned.2008 Trailblazer SS

I am not sure on the exact details, but I hear it shears more than most oils.
Of course, they say it has great shear stability.
Ask Sarge.
My thing with Mobil 1 is the price. Good oil, but it should be priced at $4 a quart considering what you get.

sarge says pennzoil platinum is the best LAST true synthetic that isnt a "niche" oil. meaning readily available for a somewhat reasonable price in walmart etc. him giving it his praise means thats whats going in my crankcase. the guy studies oil like i do titties lol

Pennzoil Platinum for me. Mine always takes a full 6 to fill it up to the full line on the dipstick if I put 5.5 in I'm not full. I guess my car is just weird.
