How to install a baby seat/tether clip in my Z28?

Ok we have a baby due in June and we want to bring him home from the hospital in our Z28, so how do we install the baby seat? There is no tether clip so where or how do we install it??

First of all congratulations! There should tether clips on the rear deck. Or do you mean on the seat itself? Surely all baby seats come with them now...if one didn't come with the seat contact the manufacturer...maybe they're optional or something? Sorry for my ignorance, both my babies just ask for the car keys now.

On my '94 T/A i used to just strap it in with the seatbelt. I couldn't use the little base that came with the carrier, but with the three point belt in the carrier and the seatbelt along with it being wedged in there between the front seat and the back seat he was pretty secure.

He's going to be 5 in june so it works.

I'm sure you could...ask the dealer if they sell them. They're pretty much just a big bolt and a loop for the seat to hold on to. My 89 iroc had tethers but they were for the t-top holder...but they look the same which is kinda weird

You can get away without all of that. There's a clip you can buy for just a couple of bucks that basically sandwiches the seat belts and you run them through the back of the car seat. They make fancy models for $20 but I think you can buy the ones like we used for around $5. Check out a baby store near you. I can take a picture of mine and send to you if that would help. It's just a little clip that you slide the belts over and it locks in a set length of belt. You can actually get the seat really snug with that. I used it for a couple years for the boy's seat.
