How to ID an engine
I just purchased what is supposed to be a 2000 LS1 from a Vette. There are numerous codes on the heads and block and I was wondering if there was a way to decode them to confirm the production date/facility. I'd like to order an engine manual but wanted to make sure I had the ID right before doing that. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
