How do I fix a dented tail pipe?
My new to me T/A has a Magnaflow cat back with 3 1/2" tail pipes. One is dented an inch in and looks octagon instead of round. If it was less than 3"s I think a tail pipe expaner would do an awesome job but it's 3 1/2". Any ideas?

If you have needle-nosed vise grip pliers, you can gently massage the dent out of the pipe going from one end of the dent to the other.

probably easier to just get in touch with magnaflow and order another tip....and would most likely look better.

Can you post pictures?
If it's bent on a rolled edge your going to have a tough time to making the look good again. Plus, getting something to return to a circle is painstaking.
You could try using a good size pair of pliers on the inside of the pipe, open then pliers up and try to pry against the opposite inner side and if see if the gets you any luck. Hopefully it won't convex the other side, so be careful.
But the best idea, IMO, is Orion's.
