I did a google trying to find info on my car. It brought up threads from this forum.
I stay/stayed because when I joined I got replys when I posted unlike other forums and there are always people willing to help with problems/questions/parts needed or wanted
On the flip side of tech questions/answers its a cool place to talk about LS1 cars
I started a thread on this very subject one time

Well a buddy of mine who is not member said he ran across this site a while back looking for info on his T/A. So after i bought our SS I checked it out. I couldn't believe what I have seen, so much info on our type's of cars so I joined. I am a member of a few other forums non LS1 related and by far this site has them all beat hands down. Everyone on here has been extremely nice and the comedians on here well we all know who they are they are the best at keeping everyone on their toe's. i wouldn't trade this for any other site on the Web. LS1.COM ROCKS!!!! Many thanks to everyone.

YJ- 04 GTO M6
After discovering Z28.com and being an active member for a year or so I got fed up with all the rules of that site and needed a new home. I searched far and wide. From the deepest oceans to the highest mountains on the internet until by accident I was going to LS1tech.com but I forgot the tech part and BAM! Hit the homepage with all 4 cars on the side and thought I was in heaven. Then I looked outside to see if there was a bus full of pornstars waiting for me but they never showed up so it wasnt a dream. But after lurking around the site for a day or so I joined up back in 2005. I dont post so much in the AAG section, I try to read and help out problems with Fbodys when I had mine, and then left the site for a while when I had my EVO. I came back as soon as I purchased my GTO this June and havent left since.

Sebring Silver- 2000 CamaroSS
A couple of 5.0 'Stange guys I used to run with clued me in back in 2000 when I bought my SS.
At the time, AG had just recently turned into AAG & was a wild west frontier town. Back then I rarely left the tech section, too much drama & BS going on.
I had a brake & front end shop some years ago, figured I could lend a hand.
I've always tried to be accurate in my responses, some days are always better than others though.
Got a couple of stickies up......
I stayed around to try and help keep this place going after the core group left & took all the original tech tips with them.
It was barren here for quite awhile......It's just beginning to come back.Last edited by rbob93; 12-18-2007 at 08:57 AM.

08 Mustang GT/CS Blue- 2002 Trans Am WS6 traded
I was asking around just after i bought my car to try and find out where to look for good information about not only these cars but cars in general since i knew very little and was anxious to learn now that i had a car i was excited about. someone mentioned this site, and i spent lots and lots of hours reading; learning and laughing a lot. I was hessitant to post at first, knowing i was pretty clueless; but everyone has been really cool and given very good info. I learned quickly that there are lots of people here that really know their stuff; not just posting third-hand b.s. they heard somewhere. I still love learnng, laughing, and contributing when i can on here--and its helped me out incredibly whenever i've encountered problems and saved me $$ too! Long post, as always..., but love this site!

I was on the original LS1.com back in 1999...this is my second username/account. I found the site by using a Yahoo search for what was then an upcoming purchase...my 2000 Z28. I stayed around because this site is a nice blend of tech and fun. I'm not going to lie, I'm on quite a few other LSx boards, but this one is definitely in my regular rotation.

Hugger Orange/W stripes- 1999 Z28 M6
Necessity
I had a lady total my T-bird and I had a friend selling a '99 Z28, which I knew nothing about. I went to Google and found this site. At first, I was specifically looking for tips about F-bodies so I would know what to look for. I ended up buying the car and have been a regular here ever since.
I spend quite a bit of my time on AAG, but I still go to the tech side a lot. I just don't post there as often as I surf. I come to the tech section to learn more than teach.

Bright Red- 1999 Trans Am Ws6
My dad used to have a cougar and I found a huge forums of that by mistake when searching for an online manual, and was amazed to find the guy that designed the transmission for it was on there and other famous people. I new the f-bodies had a huge following and did some searches and came accross this site. The pool of knowldege when you get this many people together is amazing. If you have a problem, chances are, some one on here already had it and can talk you through. The power window problem, I thought I was the only one with it before I found this site. All the ingenius little fixes people have come up with as well, stuff I would have never even thought of if I had the problem.
Okay...I lied, I was searching for porn and came accross the the tig ol bitties thread.

always dirty- 2013 Ram 2014 Caddy ATS
I found it on google. I like the advise given and love to laugh at the bad advice. Occasionally I have something to add. I am a car guy, so reading anything about cars is great. I run out of magazines to read on the toilet so this gives me some more stuff to read about.

Like some of the others i did a search on google. All i typed in was LS1 and up came the site. I checked it out for a while before deciding to stay. I noticed te moderators are frequently on and updating and monitoring posts. ( i hate how other sites leave arguments and all that other BS up). The others in the community are extreamly helpful and courteous. I think it's a site where i can learn a lot and at the same time share my achievments and losses.

I was on the old LS1.com, joined in early 2001. My brother talked me out of buying a Ford Explorer, even though I lived in NC and he in Chicago - kept raving about how many mods he had and how fast his 2K was, along with all the fun racing at the track (he was a member of MFBA). Always wanted a Camaro since my early teens when the first models came out, a guy in my neighborhood got a new '68 327 before I could drive and would let me ride around with him on occasion. So I went to Rick Hendrick Chevy, looked around, then went back the next day and bought my car. Talked to him that night on the phone and he was as excited as I was - told me I had a LS6 intake and no EGR, buy Zano, etc. - didn't know what the hell he was talking about. Anyway, he told me he was also a member here and gave me the link and to check it out. Site has seen a lot of turmoil over the years, but still one of my favorites. I've learned so much here, especially in the early days when I was asking newbie questions...guess that's why I don't mind posting when seeing the same questions asked over and over again from new members. My brother got married, sold his 11 sec Camaro, doesn't post anymore...but I'll still be here...it's an addiction.

Liker everyone else...google. I searched for information on these cars when I was in the market for one. I had to convince my dad that they were good, reliable cars--not just pretty cars that would cost me a ton of money to keep running right.
I stuck with ls1.com same reasons everyone else did. a) Someone will always try to help you with almost any problem or question you could have, b) quick responses and c) there isn't someone always on your case when you say the wrong thing or ask the wrong question.
I also like the classified sections. They seem to be considerably larget than the classifieds on other forums.
And I like the AAG section of course. Its way more entertaining than any of the other forums' AAG section, when entertainment is what I want. And I can find alot of information on other things I would have question about in the AAG section.
