    Horsepower numbers

ok. I weighed my car today. With me in it the car weighed 3860lbs. I weigh 200 so the car is 3660. With my buddy in it with me we weighed 4020 lbs. My best run on a G-Tech was 12.25 and when you put that into a horsepower calculator I saw any where from 430 to 450. I dynoed at 398. What's up with that?

The calculator's aren't very accurate. I know however that the G-tech meters are extremely accurate. I've seen them within .1 of actual track times.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about the numbers. They are just that, numbers. Take it to the track and see what you run and report back!

I agree. grab some gatorade and take it to the track and have fun experimenting with your car. race without your buddy in car. then race with buddy in car. race without buddy, spare tire, jack, and other stuff in car. if u have extra funds, race with street tires, then race with drag radials, then with slicks.

The car is a convertible. I can't race it without a roll bar. At least not at my local track.
