For the egr, a buddy of mine took the part that screws the hose down into the intake. He removed the hose from the "plate" part and adhered a metal screw down soda pop lid in place of the hose. He sealed it up real good, screwed it in, and that was his homemade EGR plate. Worked great, cost nothing no pics of it though.

Also, for the EGR plug into an intake, you can get an expansion plug from an auto parts store, cost about $3 and plug it that way.

That sounds good. I will probably do that
ls1camino showed me his and it's a square plate thats all painted up and pretty like ... I may do something like that with the stocker one. I gotta try and make my engine bay look cleaner and nicer than it does now, it's nasty currently.

I thought you were getting a LS6 Intake...in that case, you don't need a block off plate.

If you're talking about what I did on my FAST90...I just JBWelded a short bolt (half inch) to the back side of the plate (threaded part to the plate and head straight "down"), filled the recess on the intake with RTV Silicone, stuck the plate/bolt in the silicone, and let it harden.
