It doesnt use any oil, and im never on it like that anyway. Normal driving im usually alway under 2500rpms. I havent had it up at those rpms since late last fall. Its dark but like I said it only does it around 5k-6k where i usually never drive it at.

If its black smoke, its probably just running rich, and its especially apparent since you have no cats. I've seen brand new high performance cars puff a small cloud of black smoke on acceleration, not a big deal unless its constant or there is a lot of it.

I would say if you are rarely on it, it may be carbon build up, and taking it that high of rpms would help clear it out. That is, if the smoke is black, if the smoke is blue then that is oil but if it doesn't use oil then I think your fine. That would be my guess.

the smoke was black, and it doesnt use any oil. And ive been really easy on it and rarely drive it to redline.

I would say carbon build up then. You need a tune, but if it was running THAT rich it would puff black under any hard acceleration, not just high rpms. That's just my .02.

I don't know why everybody says long tubes make your car run rich. when i got my tune it was at something like 14.4:1 at WOT after the install... and it smoked a lil at high rpm before it was tuned then it went away as soon as it was richened up.

    It should,
You need to get the car up on a dyno for a tune.

I would say you can't go wrong with either. 5 hours is quite a drive though. Frost knows his shit about tuning.
