    High pitched squeal

So my engine has a high pitched squeal while running. It sounds like it is coming from around the harmonic balancer. What should be my first course of action, replace the belt?

It really sounds like a squealing belt. Sounds to be coming from around the balancer but its hard to tell, i don't think it's the pump

I don't know then, a belt is cheap, there are two, one for the Alt,and a smaller one for the AC

Depending on your mileage, a belt change is probably need anyways, so do that and if it still squeals, at least you have limited it down a bit!

Alright. There are two belts explained above. Two Idlers and Two tensioners. Remove the belt via a 15mm wrench. Spin ALL of the pulleys till you find the sound. If you can find it. Replace the belt. Should cure it.

Possibly AC compressor? See if the noise goes away if you put your heat selector on defrost. If it does, it is the AC clutch. Mine is doing that right now.
