    High Oil Pressure

The oil pressure on my 99 WS6 has been pegging out around 80. It usually ran around 40 to 60 but the last couple of weeks its been higher than normal. It's been kinda cool but last winter it ran high til the motor warmed up then it would fall back to normal. The motor is not making any noises but it seems like its been on the sluggish side. Any ideas?

Are you using the stock guage, or an aftermarket one? The stock guages are notorious for not being very accurate.

Try a mechanical gauge to test with or if you have a good scanner you can pull info from the computer but that is coming from the OPSU and if that is bad then the scan info will ne bad so try the old school gauge to see what is really going on.

Agreed, a remote guage will be far more accurate than the factory guage.

The factory oil pressure guage on these cars is basicly there only to let you know the engine has oil pressure.

Beyond that it's not the sightest bit accurate...

A true quality guage will show even the slightest fluctuations in oil pressure..
