Sunset metallic orange- '01 Camaro SS
hey guys!! Questions!!!
whats up guys!? I have a couple of questions. I'm hoping you guys have the answers. K;
1st: What size is the '04 5.7 GTO's MAF sensor?
2nd: If it's bigger will it be compatible for a '01 SS?
3rd: Is anybody running TSP's cat-less x-pipe w/ Moroso spiral flow mufflers?
4th: If so, What T/A are you using?
5th: I need a new Tranny Mount/ or Tranny Mount bushing. So where can I get for cheap?
6th: Also Motor Mount & bushings?
7th: For when I remove the Air Pump, will I need to get it re-tuned?
8th: Same question for the EGR removal, will I have to re-tune the car?
9th: I had used my Diablo Predator handheld tuner to remove the rear o2's and cats. Was this ok?
10th: & the last is, my engine is miss firing in two banks. What can cuz this thisThe sound of your piss hitting the urinal.......yea it sounds feminine!

Ok, here we go
1: Don't really touch the MAF. It can throw off your tune and make the car run like shit. If your going to get a MAF, get a Z06 85mm MAF but then have the car tuned for it.
2: Read #1
3: I ran TSP True Dual X pipe with dumps before the axle. I personally didn't like it (Ground clearence and loudness) I now use Magnaflow and love it. Each has their own opinion though
4: No clue
5: Check our sponsors. Click on sponsor link above and search around. Good prices and good selection.
6: See #5
7: Not that I know. You should be in the clear with that.
8: Not sure, sorry.
9: Yes its fine, rear O2's only tell you if the cats are working or if they are garbage. Many people have them tuned out or have no cats at all.
10: Get the codes scanned and find out which 2 cylinders are miss firing. Could be spark plug, spark plug wire, coil, etc.... Narrow it down first and then go from there.
:whew:┌∩┐(◕_◕)┌∩┐
Man: The Mods you are fighting,
they are the biggest Men I have ever seen. I
wouldn't want to fight them!
Me: That is why no one will remember your name!

No. 7 & 8, you do not need to have the car tuned after removing them. Your SES light will be on - unless you can tune it out with your Diablo, but your car will run ok. Jeff wrote up a good sticky on secondary air removal - good info in it. Other than that, I second BlackSS01 with his suggestions.

hey I just tried removing the fuse to the air pump and my car shut off. so my guess is that I need to get it tuned out???

The air pump fuse should have nothing to do with whether or not the car runs. You may have grabbed the wrong one. I pulled the fuse from our car when I extracted the secondary air system simply to terminate the power supply to the harness.
Details here: Secondary Air
