    help with tools

    where can i rent or what else can i use instead of these tools when rebuilding my engine.

    let me look and see what I can dig up....if that alignment tool is the one I'm thinking of it's very expensive and you probably won't be able to rent it. That being said I think people have gotten away without using it. Let me do some searches and see what I can find though.

    You can get away with not using alot of the specialty tools. I just picked up a book called, " How to rebuild GM LS Series Engines " and it has alot of info on common tools that you can use to complete these tasks.

    As a matter of fact, in the past, I have done a search here and found a good amount of ways to avoid these expensive tools.

    Where did you get that book? how is it?

    As far as the speciality tools I would have to find another way, or pray you know a buddy who works/owns a shop
