Help with radio staying on
My radio has been like this for while but i was thinking about fixing this now. It stays on after i turn the car off and lock and shut the door. The only way for me to keep the radio off after shutting the car off is to push the power button on the radio. When i first got the car i disconnected the plug in the back on the antenna motor because the antenna was broke and it always stays up. So to get rid of that annoying noise when i turned the car on i just disconnected it. I am installed some LED lights and im installing one on the ceiling of the car and it only goes off when the radio does and that takes about 2 minutes... So how can i fix this?

Sounds like it could be a faulty BCM or (Integrated Body Control Module)..
You do know that (as part of the vehicles design) the radio and accessories will continue to operate for a period of time after the car has been shut off right..??
Opening the door will shut everything down right away..

I figure it might be the door switch. Maybe see if the right door shuts it off ???
Just hope it isn't that big glob of melted wires...

Even if the door switch is bad everything will still power down after a certain amount of time passes.. Usually a few minutes..
But I also agree that the dome light not working could be the caused by a bad door switch..
But again everything will still power down (unless bcm damage) after some time..
I'd imagine the battery would be drained if it was'nt..

i also have no Chimes either when the door is open etc... I just want to know how to fix the dome light, and how to check it out and why its not working correctly. 20 seconds is kinda an exageration lol. My radio and power will stay on for awhile its not normal trust me.

I believe the power down time is around 10 mins. I agree with Smittro that you most likely have a bad door switch that is causing the problems. All power should turn off if key is out of ignition and door is open.
Usually if the BCM is bad it effects the radio, interior lights, locks and windows.

Its factory and i dont think so, i think when i first got it i unplugged the plug that connected to the antenna motor because a gear is broken or something and it made an annoying ass sound so i just unplugged it and if i can remember it started doing it after i unplugged that.. I tried plugging it back it but it hasnt made a difference

no the reason I ask is because if it is an aftermarket the acc and 12v wires could have been backwards. That will keep the radio on all the time and you will need to turn it off manually. If the radio had worked fine before then that not your case.
